The Family Writes:

Frieda Kirschner, of Mountainside NJ, and a previous resident of Roselle, NJ for many years passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years Irving, her parents Hyman and Leah, and 7 siblings Rae. Helen. Abraham, David, Louis, Esther and Silvia. She leaves behind a large and loving family, her 3 sons Steven and his wife Pamela, Robert. Howard and his partner Jean. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren Erica and her husband Davin, Ryan and his wife Robyn, Jason, Julia, Melissa and her husband Brian, Allison and her husband Chris, Kyle, Kevin, Corey and his wife Liz, Lindsay, and 6 great grandchildren, Deanna, Delaney, Morgan, Sophia, Blake, and Ellie.

Frieda was born in St Louis Mo where she met her future husband Irving at the tender age of 19 at an Air Force Dance when he was stationed there. They fell in love and got married at 21 and moved back to his home in the Bronx NY. After their first two children were born there, they moved to Roselle NJ where they lived for most of their lives and where their third child was born.

While she worked as a bookkeeper, in a woman's clothing store and other jobs her primary focus in life was her kids and later her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved watching her kids and grandkids playing sports and was very knowledgeable about many sports. She enjoyed her time as a cub scout den mother among other volunteer activities in Roselle as well as at their local Synagogue.

Some of her other favorite things to do were traveling, especially cruising, dancing, and playing Mahjong.

She was kind to a fault and would always be the first one to help a stranger or donate time or money to any charitable cause.

One of her passions was fighting for civil rights for her entire life.

If any individual trait defined her to friends and family alike it was her incredible sense of humor. Her intelligence. common sense and quick wit were unapparelled.

She will be missed by so many.
